I’m not sure how much I’ll actually blog on here, but I’ll share a little something as a primer for my latest project. What started as a team building exercise for my new employee Mason and me, has kickstarted my creative juices. So much so that I was laying in bed at 3:15 am and completely unable to sleep because I couldn’t stop scheming and trying to figure out how I’ll pull this one off.
I want to create a portrait of a stranger everyday for 100 days. I’ve set some rules for myself, but nothing I probably won’t be willing to break if I need to. Well, really it’s one; the person I photograph cannot be a friend or family member. I plan to leave it open to people I do know, but I wouldn't consider a “friend” like the mailman, or a contact at a school where I photograph, or someone in the neighborhood whom I’ve met before. I’m going to try and not stockpile images to use on days when I don’t get out. And I’m happy to post multiple strangers a day. I’m trying to not limit myself.
